#TSIW Students claim they are 'too depressed' by Brexit to do exams

I'm honestly getting incredibly angry and depressed about this generation. I'm part of it and I don't want to that cringy "I was born in the wrong generation" crap but seriously, I was born in the wrong generation. I feel like such a special snowflake being pro brexit at my uni.

Why don't they care about sovereignty and democracy? Why don't they care about our national identity? Why do they think so little of our country?

I love English history for one reason, we lead the world for 1000 years in science, democracy, equality and FREEDOM. These people want to just throw it away. Yes the British empire had a lot of bad moments but for it's time and comparison to human history holy fucking moly it was a beacon of hope and prosperity. The magna carta is the most beautiful document in my opinion and for it's time it was a bloody unicorn. Arguing for such great principles in a time when muttering such things in mainland europe would get you laughed at.

I hoped Englands fervor for individualism and democracy would overflow into Europe like it has in all of our ex colonies but apparently the opposite has happened. Mainland europes constant recession into collectivist authoritarian structures has influenced the young people of England.
