TSLA Terathread - For the week of Aug 15

Don't create scapegoats and put the blame where it belongs, and that is on Tesla for selling this shit in the first place.

That might be 100% true, but this isn't an either or. We don't have to choose between shining lasers in drivers eyes and letting Tesla run their FSD beta. And that should be obvious, those two things don't have anything to do with each other. Even if all you idiots got together and "dazzled" every Tesla you saw, it would have zero impact on FSD beta, it's just a stupid idea that would never work, and that should be obvious.

But I do think when some idiot starts talking about shining a Class IIIb laser at people driving their cars, that it would make sense for someone, anyone really, to mention that that's obviously not safe.

Like, how is that not the first thing that everyone replied with?

It's just really weird to see a mod in here, and they're not like "well obviously shining dangerous lasers at people's eyes is a bad idea, but ...." and then go ahead and speculate all you want.

Like, there's just a basic level of reaction to obviously dangerous and stupid ideas that I'd expect to see in any sane forum, and it's completely lacking here. Instead we have a mod defending some idiots right to speculate about how we should shine powerful lasers at drivers eyes.
