U.S. Navy strike group to move toward Korean peninsula: U.S. official

I'm not trying to avoid an answer or be difficult but I am not understanding your question. I do not know what you mean by "side" in your question. As in the North Korea side versus the South Korea side? I will try to bring more clarity to what I said though.

As it stands now, North Korea is already unified behind the Kim dynasty. He, his father and his grandfather are seen and treated much like God's. Not necessarily seen as true divine entities but the same reverence none the less. I suspect this is a core fundamental to the brainwashing.

When Kim Jong Un goes out in public in North Korea, it looks a lot like Beatle Mania. People lose their minds, start crying with joy and long just to touch him. Just like hard core fans do in the front row of their favorite musician. It has been suggested that this is what is expected of the people and that it may be driven by fear of the consequences if they don't show complete devotion to the leader.

Inside North Korea, Kim Jong Un is not actually referenced as the president. That role is still held by his grandfather even though he is long dead. It would be like saying Abraham Lincoln is still the president of the U.S. It is odd and doesn't make sense to anyone outside of that brainwashed country.

From the mouths of North Korean defectors, they do wish for reunification with South Korea. However it is also something that is taught for them to want. South Korean citizens have also expressed a hope for reunification as well. Many South Koreans still have unreachable family in the North.

The Kim dynasty has used the hope of reunification as a tool for manipulation. And though Kim Jong Un openly and publicly speaks of reunification, it is all a sham. He knows full well that South Korea would not fall under his iron fist and that the truth of his legacy exposed to his people would make him the most hated man in any Korea.
