Unless you're in a coma, there is no excuse to for you to not be meditating

It's not necessarily "where" to start but "how" to start.

Meditation is not something that everyone can do because they do not make time to do it. Now when we think of Meditation, we have that stereotypical legs crossed and hands in a Mudra position like this however, you do not have to do meditate this way. You can be lying down or sitting up. I personally use music but you don't have to. Meditation is a means of transforming the mind. Buddhist meditation practices are techniques that encourage and develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, and a calm seeing of the true nature of things. By engaging with a particular meditation practice you learn the patterns and habits of your mind, and the practice offers a means to cultivate new, more positive ways of being. With regular work and patience these nourishing, focused states of mind can deepen into profoundly peaceful and energised states of mind. Such experiences can have a transformative effect and can lead to a new understanding of life.

When you meditate, (personally I meditate when I leave the gym so its easier for my muscles to relax) try and clear you mind of any thoughts and emotions pertaining to those thoughts. Think about nothing. Focus on the blackness when you close your eyes and feel the consciousness. Feel your awareness in this blackness. Become one with this blackness. When you begin focusing on your own awareness, try and think of something in your life you need to become better at. Relationships, your job, your form in the gym etc. and only that one thing. Try and tune out all other thoughts that do not pertain to it. Over time you will become better at this and will spend even more time Meditating.
