Using "gay" and "retard" in a playfull way as an insult shouldnt trigger anyone

Hey. As someone who has a hearing loss, and has been bullied for it, the word "retard", even when used as a joke directed AT ME, is very offensive and upsetting.

It seems that you have never been picked on, bullied or harassed about something you can't change. I don't know anything about you, but it just seems that way for me, I could be entirely wrong.

Just because they're used to calling something gay or retarded, doesn't mean it's good. No less than 60 years ago, people were used to calling black people the N word, doesn't make it okay, does it? Simple comparison to make a simple point.

This is a very good unpopular opinion and is fully fitting to this sub, but I really hope you change yours.
