Vegan Critique of DxE: Direct Action Everywhere

The video has had a TON of positive feedback from people directly involved with DxE, many of whom commented that they were surprised I identified the issues so accurately without speaking to Wayne.

DxE themselves promoted the video on their own twitter, apparently seeing it as a critique worth discussing.

So, no, you're wrong: there's a significant public who are interested in discussing the theory behind DxE as a political movement… and they are often people who have either been past participants with DxE, or people who are currently members.

Really, I am not saying this to insult you, but I was surprised myself at the messages that came pouring in to thank me for taking the time to make the video, from people who have years of experience with DxE, but who apparently felt unable to put together such a critique. When I made the video, I did not know there was a pent up demand to hear such a critique, but I've been surprised to discover that there is (and some of these people have now engaged in interesting discussions with me, etc.).

Coming back to your basic premise: "Not many people want to listen to someone they don't know talk for half an hour."

EVER HEARD OF YOUTUBE? EVER HEARD OF PODCASTING? Yeah, guess what, all kinds of people do want to hear extempore discussions of vegan politics, and plenty of them (e.g., Vegan Revolution) go on for three hours at a time:

If you don't like it, /u/rinabean, that's cool, but the purpose of Reddit is to share links of this kind, and to encourage people who are interested to discuss or debate the issues.

If you've been vegan for 5+ years, please adjust your attitude to recognize the fact that there are activists who are seriously trying to deal with the issues discussed in this video (for a whole half-hour, gasp!) and who really are engaging in substantive discussions of questions of organization, etc., unlike yourself, in this commentary.
