I wonder why so many women seem to do this. I don't think the majority of them are TERFs. I can understand men, whose sexuality might be threatened. I never know how a woman is going to react; some are friendly and supportive, some look disgusted, as you say.

The ones who really get under my skin are the young women, high school to college age. I feel more contempt coming from them than from others. It could be projection, because I never look them in the eye; but I've passed a number and heard titters behind my back. I think maybe they're only just coming into their own power, tend to be full of themselves and view me as a pathetic copycat -- like an unattractive woman their own age, only moreso. But those are the ones who shake my confidence. I so envy them, their unattainable youth, looks and cisness.
