Voters Want Change, Not Centrism

I would fall into the Centrist category. On the one hand I have voted Democrat in the last four presidential elections and will vote Democrat again next year. On the other hand, I am not on board with the idea of completely abandoning our current economic system (regulated capitalism), which seems to be where “the left” is headed these days. Universal healthcare makes sense, but I don’t believe that someone in an unskilled labor job (the proverbial McDonald’s fry cook) deserves to be paid $18 per hour. I believe it is important to address climate change very soon; however, I wanna see a fucking plan first that shows how we’re going to help the thousands (maybe millions) of people that will lose their jobs due to the significant changes in our labor force that will surely be necessary. I’m pro-choice, but not really on board with added gun control laws; mainly because I’m not convinced they will change anything. I am pro-immigration. In fact, I would be most impressed with a candidate that makes comprehensive immigration reform the centerpiece of his platform. I’m also ready for our military to leave the Middle East; wholesale pull the fuck out.
