This is frustrating. I keep telling you, 'liberal argument' doesn't mean anything. There are plenty of 'liberal arguments' that socialists would agree with, and 'liberal' is such a broad descriptor that a 'liberal argument' could consist of anything from being in favour of public ownership of healthcare services, to legalising slavery. You shouldn't just say that an argument you disagree with is liberal as if that automatically invalidates it, it's lazy and almost wilfully ignorant; as if you don't want to consider the argument, instead you can just write it off as 'liberal' and stop thinking about it. You haven't properly addressed any of the points I originally made either, instead you just keep saying that it's a liberal argument, or that it's an argument a liberal, or Clinton, or CPUSA would make, while needlessly nitpicking the last paragraph in which I merely asked that people be more civil and resist the urge to resort to insults and suppress opinions that they don't agree with.

All I wanted was a friendly and interesting debate about tactical voting in a socialist context, and while some of the things I said in my long post were a bit cheeky, I considered it to be good humour between comrades. I mean, I spent an embarrassingly long time writing that post and I was looking forward to a proper discussion. But, just like on the rest of reddit, my post was needlessly nitpicked, and downvoted because it didn't agree with the consensus. And, like many of the lefty subs, 'liberal' was thrown around as a pejorative to dismiss opinions that differ from the majority, without actually considering or arguing against what was said. A real bummer, I really thought this place was better than that. Whatever.

Thanks for proving me right about this sub, I guess. Hopefully this is not a representation of the attitude of the left outside of my circle, because we're truly fucked if it is. I'm disabling inbox replies now, I'm done.
