If a cheap, disposable mask gets wet, you need to change it straight away or it is not as effective. If the mask doesn't fit properly and you come into contact with someone sneezing and your mouth and nose are not properly covered, you will be at higher risk than a mask that fits correctly. Whats the point of wearing a bad mask? It would be more effective to keep a safe distance from people who could cough or sneeze onto you and wash your hands properly when you have touched things.
