Weight Loss advice that helped me lose over 100 pounds

So I'm down 40 lbs since December starting at 300lb (really started at 310 but I don't count the initial whoosh of water weight). I took a slightly different tack and it has worked well for me so far. M-Sat I eat a keto-ish low calorie diet of 1200-1500 calories per day. I have a house on half an acre in the south so I get plenty of sweating time in doing yard work. But on Sunday dinner with family I eat whatever I have been craving that week. Pizza, ice cream, doughnuts, bread, whatever.

I'm consistently losing 1-2 lbs a week with this method. I think the biggest thing is keeping discipline and not cheating outside of planned events with whatever diet one settles on that works for you.
