Weird trunk closing noise & tail light condensation…

Condensation in taillights is a classic and from what I read here there is an >90% chance that the replacement ones and the ones that replace these and the ones after them will condensate too. Just live with it.

On the automatic trunk well… There was a problem a few months ago where some people's trunks didn't close all the way because the closing motor needed too much power and shut down for safety. Tesla's fix was a software update that increased the maximum allowed torque of the motor. In my eyes, this will cause all automatic trunk motors to fail at some point. But they will probably make it baaaaarely over the warranty lifespan so Tesla dodged that replacement bullet here. I don’t know if they use other motors in the struts now, but hey if they are still the same, you are lucky because your new one will make you headaches 2 months later than to expect.
