Well....shit

Yeah, I understand how the lack of information I failed to provide might seem like I'm just self diagnosing to feel special of whatever. I could just be weird but it is something that has bothered me for 15+ years. I get into these fits where I have to do everything evenly until I finally can stop thinking about it. People have always commented on me walking so fast but that's from years of having to do one left foot one right foot per block of cement. In order to do that without wasting a ton of time I've had to take really long, quick steps to account for the larger squares of concrete. I'll usually map out my path of a city block in my head so I can plan out my path accordingly. If the concrete has cracks in it, I have to do one foot per section of the square. If the concrete is in one of those longer rectangles that would normally require 3 steps to traverse, I have to shorten my steps to fit 4 in which messes up my tempo. Crossing streets can be a real pain as sometimes I don't plot it out correctly and my left foot gets to close to the curb. Then I have to talk an incredibly short step with my right foot just to make sure I step on the curb with my left foot first.

And that's just for my left foot right foot per square obsession which is the easy thing to do. If my foot ever scrapes the ground or my heel hits the ground too hard, I will spend way too long trying to correct my tempo by trying to repeat it perfectly with my other foot. God forbid something happens to my right foot first, then I have to repeat it on my left foot twice and then on my right foot once for symmetry.

I could go on about the various other things that have silently plagued me over the years but nobody was asking in the first place so I don't know why I wasted so much time defending myself.
