Westbrook on scoring title: "I never thought I'd be winning anything close to a scoring title, but I'd rather be in the playoffs than win a scoring title to tell you the truth."

?? Efficiency has nothing to do with the scoring title.

Allen Iverson shot TS% of below 50% for more then 2 seasons(these are his prime years too not his later) and still won the title like he deserved to because he could score more then anyone.

Also Westbrook is efficent and efficency gap doesn't determine a better scorer. Not to mention TS% is calculated properly. IT gives you a better efficecny if you miss a shot and make 2 free throws, versus getting an and-1 and hitting your free throw (3 points vs 2..) hence it favours harden a lot more then it should.

I also said best scorer this season, just because someone might be able to it doesn't matter they havent. And I disagree with harden being a better shooter. You people rely on stats like they are the 100% truth. Stat lie, don't tell the whole story and don't take everything into account. For example shots that people take at the end of quarters from half court or something or clock running down ones they are forced too.

Also efficiency has to do with the system a lot. LeBron was only above 50% FG in only miami. You know why? Because of the system, now that doesn't take anything aaway from him. He allows for it to work as well as it did, and not many people in nbas history would be able to make that system work like he did. So it doesn't take anything away from him but it does say that he isn't any less efficiency now that he is back below 50%fg, and that you're putting too many eggs in that basket.

Another thing AI was his sixers team yet his "efficiency" was horrendous. So how is it he can carry that team to the finals while being below average efficiency? There is a huge efficiency circle jerk on this subreddit, and you think it means more then it really does.(the stat, i am all for being efficient but you look at one stat and think it means a is better then b.)

George box a very famous statistician said "all models are wrong, yet some are useful" in all my stats courses and many other places i have never heard a statistician disagree with that. its a very good quote and one /r/nba fans should keep in mind. SO no none of the guys you named are/were better scoreres then WEstbrook THIS season.
