What actually uses the power of current flagship phones?

What comments are you seeing that supports your viewpoint? The only thing I see is [this one] which is generalizing as fuck and(https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/3fe6dn/what_actually_uses_the_power_of_current_flagship/ctnvod4), and completely contradicts the point of the self post.

  • What GPS chip used in Exynos 7450 justify the premium over those used in the SD415, and even the A8 Apple Chip?
Moto G (2015) Galaxy S6 iPhone 6
GPS, A-GPS, Glonass, BeiDou GPS, A-GPS, Glonass, BeiDou GPS, A-GPS, Glonass, Cell ID, Wi-Fi positioning

Can you honestly say you've seen a difference in lock times and tracking with every new flagship that comes out to justify it? Do you even care so long as it works? Do you even know how GPS works?

  • There is a difference in storage speeds and tech like eMMC 2.0, 3.0, UFS and other monikers of RAM tech speeds used between the devices. We've been using LPDDR ram for the last 7 years and that's not going to change, nor are people caring what exactly does that mean to their usage. Those numbers look very good and definitely shows improvements, but ask yourself how that matters to the average person. Does it matter to you? Assuming you are indeed using the HTC One. Regarding why people upgrade for chip performance, unless they are gamers, this is the standing truth on daily usage between a Nexus 5 and Galaxy S6. I won't dismiss objectionable reasons like better speakers, better camera, and the like but when someone like [this] explains his reasoning to me: I can't help but point out: a) how wrong he is about specs and b) he should just get an iphone already.

It's an idiot tax because people just don't think. They don't care about the details, they don't do their research or even fully understanding what they're buying, despite their reasons. They pick what they want based on their own reasoning, based on a lack of knowledge, based on their feelings of what's "good" when the videos. They think they're getting the better experience, when it's all in their heads which is exactly what the self post points out. They pay more for reasons that are dismissible, based on numbers that don't translate the way they think it does. And then there's the fact people are willing to pay for iPhones at all, when Android is perfectly capable of accomplishing the same things at lesser cost. People are just stupid and the market like Apple preys on that. Those that buy into 2K displays are victims, those that buy Octa-core whatevers are victims as well. But of course, no one is going to admit they made a mistake, that they're actually stupid about their purchases: even with the evidence put right in front of them.
