Congrats!! Here are some of my answers. What is your graduate school experience like? It has been nice, I have met a lot of people. Graduate school takes up a lot of my free time. Were your professors accessible? Yes, via email is the best way to contact them. If I need to meet with them to further understand something, then I email them ans ask when is the best time to meet. Do you feel a competitive vibe between the students? Yes. Did you work outside of your program? Yes, I work full time. I have little time to see friends and family. How are you funded? I received a grant, but it was not enough to cover school. So I had to take out a student loan to cover the rest of my tuition. How do your parents and friends feel about you being in grad school? My parents do not understand, they frequently ask me when am I going to be done. lol My friends do understand, many of them are looking for Graduate programs that fit compliment their field. Did you have a significant other/partner in graduate school? No. Did you have children? No. I am waiting until I finish the program. What was your department like? Very helpful, the department has many workshops for graduate students. Did you serve on committees/graduate student organizations? No, i do not have time for dedicate to that. Did you publish in graduate school? Not yet.
