What Am I Doing Wrong With My Job Hunt, and How Can I Do Better Looking For Work?

Thank you for responding. You are right that it's a tall order not to know what job I want, and I realize that. I've been conducting a general (not targeted) job search, and it's quite possible I'm not going about it very well.

> What's your education and experience?

I have a bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, zero experience in the field. I moved to a region with almost no aviation jobs because I value family over work. The other factor re: zero experience is I don't even want to work in the aviation industry now. I've moved into more of an I.T. role, something I've been doing the last couple years.

As a side note, I've looked at various I.T. certifications and there isn't one that really is something I want to specialize in. I know how to help people with their PC problems, and I work as a field tech troubleshooting and replacing failed equipment for a client. Trying to be specific but vague, it's not desktop support, it's electronics related.

> Have you ever had a job you like?

I've never had a job I really like. There are some I've liked better than others, but all of them I've wanted to leave at one point. Without giving my age, I have around a decade and a half of work experience in various jobs. I don't know if I should be listings skills here, but this hopefully answers part of your questions.
