What are the greatest "easier said than done" things in life?

This is the problem with people like you, you rationalize so fucking much. You are trying to use some evo psych shit here and tell me your body thinks (that would be your mind then btw so there is no conflict) it is starving - bullshit, you're totally misinterpreting what you read. When they talk about bodies thinking they are starving and therefore storing more fat when you eat, that's not a process that affects your consciousness or subconsciousness, therefore it has nothing to do with what you describe. You convinced yourself to think like this.

Second, you really don't know how you compare with others on the willpower level. Same urge that to you seems unconquerable is what other people successfully conquer by having a little more faith in themselves.

You're right, I don't have this urge when it comes to having to eat, but that is why I was using a different and still food related example to demonstrate that people can both change habits and that it can be easy when your mind is fully behind the reason you are doing it for.

You talk about genetics (has nothing to do with it), upbringing... but people can change tremendously in so many ways, more difficult ways than this. It just seems like you don't really want to, your mind is clearly not there. You just have all these excuses and you convinced yourself that you're pretty hopeless, this whole comment just shows you have absolutely zero faith in your own capacities and I am sure it goes beyond this example. If you gave a shit about this, you'd have a different compulsion.

This isn't your genetics or your body acting against you (that's not a thing) or your past, this is your active choice. It's really a shit one, and that's the problem with you people.
