The only rational response to the reality of male violence is for both men and women to be cautious of strange men, just like you would not eat a brownie from a pile knowing “one brownie is laced with arsenic” just because the odds are low. The only answer is to only trust people who have earned your trust. Using any argument to pretend otherwise is an irrational attempt to invalidate and get women to let their guard down because you’re one of the guys whom women shouldn’t trust. You’re the person at the party saying to eat the brownie because the odds are good. No one should trust you. If you disagree then you’re dishonest.
