What are your thoughts when people want out to *your* country?

I would agree with most of your points.

I never understood the "diversity" allure people have. I really don't care that the US is so homogeneous myself. I get enough different cultures through books...but for some reason people don't value books anymore which blows my mind considering that's the only reason we have anything since oral stories cannot explain complex mathematics and accurately describe the rise and downfall of empires...but fuck books and let's only give a crap about "experiences" as if books are experiences.

The US has major problems, but as a middle class white person, social programs and welfare don't directly benefit me. Don't get me wrong. I support all of that. I like social democracy and prefer social/welfare capitalism over the crap we have. However, I will never be shot by a cop for being black, I wont need free healthcare again, etc. If anything, I need to stay here so I can vote for people who support these; not run off to a place that has all of this which wont benefit me.

I never understood why people think the US is the only competitive place. It is called CAPITALISM. You know, the system that prefers competition instead of cooperation. Guess what, Europe runs on capitalism too. Sure, most of them have "capitalism with a face" (social capitalism) but to pretend they are not competitive is laughable.

The consumer culture sucks, but it rocks for people who are not major consumers. I get to easy access to any book in any language, I get to sneak in on random sales for one book, and various other things.

Low taxes. I want to become financially independent myself. This is one of the only countries where I can be that. Only way I could be that outside of the US is if that country does basic income.
