What attracts you most of the opposite gender in regards to marriage?

I've seen a few comments describing their dream women and genuinely want to know more about the meanings of these terms: - Soft - I keep getting a mental image of clouds that I can't shake off for some reason. By soft do you mean someone speaking to you gently and not arguing back if they disagree?

  • Nurturing - This just sounds like mothering to me. It's fine if you want your wife to be a good mother, it's not fine if you want her to do everything your mother did for you all the time. Have I misinterpreted this?

  • Loyal - Is asking for advice when you're conflicted about something your husband has said disloyal?

  • Feminine - What does this mean? Dresses like a girl, wears makeup (or is it the old 'natural beauty' chestnut, when you're rejected because you dared to wear eyeliner)?

I don't mean to be inflammatory but I've seen these words crop up time and time again so am intrigued to hear the male perspective. Females also welcome to add any other terms they're confused on!
