You're way the fuck out of touch. I live in Minneapolis and the average house in my particular area is nearly that expensive and I guaran-fucking-tee that most of the people living here aren't making anywhere nearly 600K combined.

100K puts you around the top 13% or so. 500K puts your partner in the top 5%.

The mortgage on a 750K house at 4% is no more than 6K per month. Your partner grosses 7 times that amount every month. Your housing costs are a fucking fraction of what normal people face.

Don't use the "muh area has a high cost of living" or "everyone around me makes more" arguments because all it's really showing is how entitled you are.
