What is the biggest adult temper tantrum that you've ever witnessed?

Bad tempers run in my family. My mother and grandfather are especially bad, but I give them a little slack because I figure they might have PTSD (both are veterans). I love them, and they both have good qualities, but they can be very volatile at times.

My mother has a tendency to melt down while traveling. She and I were flying somewhere, and the airline lost our luggage. That wouldn't have been so terrible, except it was carry-on luggage which they forced us to check at the gate even though it was the correct size. My mother freaked out. She was yelling at the poor customer service lady and when I told her to calm down she almost slapped me. Then she just sat in the floor and covered her face and cried. When we finally got to the hotel, she locked herself in the bathroom and wouldn't come out. I was a little scared for her safety, tbh. And it was all for nothing because we got our luggage back the next morning.

The next trip we took she got mad at me for letting her cellphone slide from the car seat onto the floor of the car. It wasn't damaged at all but she still got pissed. We checked into our hotel room and she started ranting at me about how I was a spoiled brat, etc. Then she threw my luggage into the hallway and I had to sit in the lobby for a few hours until she cooled off. She didn't speak to me for the next two days.

I can't imagine what the people around us thought.
