I was having extreme stomach pain (later learned it was gallstones+ulcers) and was given morphine, but instead of helping it enhanced the pain a million times and I could feel fire all over my body. I also had a psychotic break over it where I was ripping out my IV and tearing apart the hospital room, trying to open locked drawers and cabinets yelling that I need a scalpel because I was going to cut the ulcer out of my stomach myself if no one would help me. There had been a code blue in maternity right after they administered the morphine, so there was no one on the entire floor to help me once it hit except the janitor, and all she could do was make sure I didnt actually find anything to hurt myself with. Poor woman had to try to hold me down when I started clawing at my stomach with my nails.

I have no absolute confirmation I'm allergic to morphine and no one will even try to explain to me what happened so I just write down on all my medical papers that I'm allergic to it.
