What in God's name happened to Amazon?

I think the core of the issue is Amazon is a cheap company, and the old adage "you get what you pay for" is in full effect with logistics. UPS, USPS, and even FedEx drivers get paid a generous wage with benefits whereas Amazon is adopting the contractor style of pay where employees just come and go as they wish with no benefits. I bet Flex turnover is high, and the quality of the average contractor is lower than that of a full-time employee (no offense) so they tend to not care as much about providing a quality service.

I blew up at Amazon yesterday. They refunded my prime, refunded the items that weren't delivered again, and they're telling me if they do actually get delivered to keep the items but that's not a guarantee. Amazon has offered several months of free prime on top of about $50 in credits so far, but I'm just sick of dealing with them so I'm really slowing down what I order from them.
