It'll get worse, too. There's some more semi-nonsensical Vegeta-related filler coming up before the next saga gets underway, and some of it's a doozy.

My favorite example (spoilers in case you're totally new to DBZ): [Spoilers:](#s "Vegeta flies around the universe training and looking for Goku. On a random moon, Vegeta senses energy from the nearby planet he believes to be Goku, but as he fies down toward it he is suddenly pelted by a meteor shower somehow coming from the planet's surface. While dodging the meteors, Vegeta spots a golden light resembling a Super Saiyan aura on the surface, but it vanishes as he approaches it. Though initially confused as he fails to sense Goku or see the light source on landing, Vegeta is suddenly struck by an epiphany. He smirks, laughs, and gloats about how he's figured out the secret, which was "in front of [him] all along!"

What does it all mean? Nothing. What was the source of the light and the meteors? Who knows? Could it have been Goku? Almost certainly not. What secret did Vegeta realize about becoming a Super Saiyan? Well, it seems he didn't realize one, seeing as it takes him years more to become a Super Saiyan and his transformation has nothing to do with any such "secret"."
