i always find my kink right away in these kinds of threads. I’m ashamed of it but I’ll give my take on it

It’s a mixture of sadism/masochism and power play, sometimes also a fetish for gore and blood. We as humans have a desire for control, so it shouldn’t be hard to understand that a lot of people get off on it, especially those who have little control over things in their day to day lives. Blood and gore- sexual violence, rape, murder- the desire to control, the action of bringing pain to other people; it’s all so damn complicated and nasty, but complete control over another person is extremely gratifying. Of course there’s thrill in the taboo, but manipulating another person’s emotions (through psychological or physical means) is ultimately the turn on. I think I’m getting ahead of myself here though. You either are the giver or the receiver, and a lot of what I’ve mentioned is the same for either side, but those in particular who get off on being the victim (me) usually have a very low sense of self worth. Being used means you’re helpful to someone else. Needed, I guess. It can also just be because you hate yourself :)

The community I’m part of has dubbed it murder porn. It’s fiction, because we’re not completely out of our minds. We have empathy. That’s what makes us different from rapists and murderers and psychopaths. Now, the gore part- yeah, I don’t know why I get off on the thought of someone stabbing me and fucking the wound. I get it, it’s gross, I’m not proud. But we aren’t actually hurting anyone, except perhaps ourselves. Thanks for reading, will probably delete later
