My father does racing as a hobby with his escort. Once at a normal race, laps take like 2-5 min, the last round was over and we waited to see him coming over the finish line. 1 minute passed, 2 minutes passed, 4 minutes passed, 6 minutes passed and at that moment we all just thought (My 2 brothers, my mother and I) “well fuck there must have happened something“. Sometimes cars spin in curves and this time maybe something broke and thats what we thought happened. But after like 8 minutes a ambulance car started driving the track back and then I was scared the most I have ever been in my live. Like 6 min after the ambulance car was gone, the breakdown truck (I hope thats the right word in english) appeared with my fathers car on the back and with my father in the breakdown truck. Ive never feeled more relieved in my live. Another car accidently cut him off and he drove into the wall on the side. It ended up costing a little bit more than 7.000 Euros. We dont know why the ambulance rolled out and my father was fine.
The five minutes between the ambulance rolling out and the breakdown truck coming back with my father felt so long I cant imagine.
