What made you say "I can't believe I have to argue this"?

Today:

  • Friend, after 2 years, decided she wanted to apologize to me today (Dad had cancer; ignored me; realized she was selfish; wanted to apologize)
  • Set a time and date
  • The day comes... the time comes...
  • Decides she has to push back to apology 2 hours "i'm out with peeps"
  • I call her out and say "why aren't you here now?"
  • "well you said you had the rest of the day..."
  • I say "what the fuck is your problem?"
  • She goes "I don't want to apologize now; I feel you won't be respectful to me."

I'm done. I don't get this generation. I can't believe people setup "plans" and they flake on a whim.

Someone just doesn't suddenly want to apologize out of the blue and then decide "oh well fuck it now."

I don't get it...
