Not like criminal related or anything but watching kids playing high school sports blow their knees out. I played football, saw a kid who blew his knee out twice.. recovered in time for his senior year and blew it out again that year in like the 3rd game. That was it.. he was done with high school sports. A girl playing volleyball had a similar story, just kept blowing her knee out. The tears and in a way that “high school sport innocence” ending was odd. Even 10 years ago, it was a career ender for a lot of people.

Another kid I played with got life flighted after taking a blind side hit, he later died of a heroin OD and I do feel like his battle with pain killers had something hit do with it.

That being said knee injuries are different now. My brother blew his knee out, was back in like 7 months and it was stabilized enough to play his senior year.
