What one decision, that was seemingly arbitrary at the time, significantly shaped your life?

Playing WoW pretty much altered my life's entire trajectory and it even altered my best friend's life in the same way.

To put it short in my best friend's case, I got her into playing it. She played for a while and eventually met a guy from up north. They met up, ended up hitting it off and she eventually upped sticks to move in with him. Their relationship lasted for 4 years and through that time they had gone pillar to post all over the country. Things started to go south for them and he ended up cheating on her, but where she was staying she met a new guy and now she's living with him. If she had never began to play WoW, she would not be where she is right now, with who she is now. It's mindblowing to think that it all started because I casually decided to start playing WoW one day.

As for me I met my current SO through WoW as well. We raided together and when we quit (temporarily in my case) we started chatting over Skype because one day he just casually messaged me with a "sup?" From that day forward we were chatting daily. We got very close. Things happened and now we live together. I moved countries because of him, and so did he. Both of our lives took a massively different course all because we originally met each other through that game.

WoW shaped my life in a way I never would've expected when I first casually picked that game off the shelf because I felt a bit bored one day. I still play it. Ultimately just it's a game where you can meet people and you never know who you might meet.
