I mentioned this in the post to OP, but I had the same situation. The issue is that the funeral arrangements have to be done and the children would want to be involved. I don’t want to get accused of being a marketing shill, so I won’t mention the cruise by name, but they were amazing. When they found out what happened, they arranged for transportation to the nearest airport the next time they docked, and my parents literally were home (from Alaska) by the evening after I had made the call. Even thought folks didn’t buy travel insurance, they called them a few weeks later and offered to credit them the days they missed for a future cruise.
