What’s the juiciest rumour at your school that turned out to be 100% true?

When I was in my senior year of highschool, a classmate hung himself in the woods. There wasn't much to say about it at the time, dude had drinking problems and a shitty home situation, and growing up in a rural shithole we always lost a kid or two every year.

But a few weeks later, a rumor started going around that one of his friends, another guy in my year, murdered him and made it look like a suicide. It was a ridiculous, wild claim that was obscenely insensitive considering it had been less than 10 school days since he died. It fizzled out pretty quickly, but the 'skids' aka the greasy no-life 4chan neckbeard clique kept insisting that his friend killed the other. All the while, the accused murderer is coming to school, denying everything, and the school administration even stepped in to tell the skids to shut the fuck up.

But then, the friend skips school for a couple of days in a row. A little odd, whatever, but it's a small school and everyone knows everyone so you notice. Then we get the news that he's been arrested. What the fuck! A short trial later this guy is charged with literal murder, and the skids were right all along.

As it turned out, one of the skids' dad was a police constable with a big mouth at the dinner table, apparently. It's still crazy to look back on it, knowing that this 17 year old guy murdered a friend and then came to school for a solid two weeks with a straight face. Now that I'm thinking about it, that's some grade-A psychopath behavior.
