Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think it's time for some tough love.

It's been over three years. He still won't give you a yes or a no, or put a timetable on when he might know by. You have a KID together and he still isn't sure! What are you planning to do, convince him somehow? How? What more could you possibly do?

The bottom line is: he should know by now. And the fact that he doesn't is an answer unto itself.

If he doesn't want to get married, fine—he's entitled to his perspective. But clearly this is something that's important to you, and he won't give you an answer either way! So the question is really—how much longer are you going to wait? Another year? Another kid? Two? Five?

If you're not working toward the life you want, then leave so you can start.
