What’s the most fucked up thing that your country has done?

You know, what made me believe in the Armenian Genocide was a history book back when I was in school. In the book it said that the Ottomans kept the items of the Armenians that were "temporarily moved" to Syria. It sounded really stupid to me, because The Ottoman Empire's economy was falling apart and they definitely wouldn't be able to keep the furniture and the items of the Armenians safely.

They do a shitty job at trying to cover it up. Yet most of the people (almost fucking everyone here) deny it.

I do think that the Ottomans had righteous reasons to exile the Armenians. There were bands of Armenians who killed the Turks, robbed them and raided villages and stuff. They didn't want the Armenians who live in big cities or towns to cause trouble, but they definitely didn't have righteous reasons to murder innocent Armenians.

Still, whatever the fuck happened 100 years ago, happened and Turkey should man up and recognize the genocide. Every nation did mistakes in the past, and they should recognize and remember their mistakes so that they never happen ever again.
