What’s something you’re good at but don’t get to brag about much?

Two parts: Part 1…

I’m generous. I love giving to charities. In my early 30’s and my wife and I have been able to give many millions of dollars to great organizations and seen so many lives impacted. My life’s mission is to give away a billion. All earned money, not inherited.

There have been times when we gave nearly every liquid dollar we had away. God provided a way for us.

Part 2…

Fueled by the generosity… I’ve always been really naturally good at making money. Even as a young kid, people told me I would be a millionaire. I don’t have a super high IQ or anything. Maybe slightly above average. I’m just good at making money.

I come from middle class fam. Paid for my own education, etc.

  • Sold candy in middle school. Made hundreds of dollars before I got in trouble. Haha

  • Worked in computer sales part time while in community college. Made as much as full time most weeks by hustling. Product knowledge, charm, and just willing to help any customer helped.

  • Started making tens of thousands and then quickly hundreds of thousands / month on the internet in my early 20’s. Long story but basically went from building websites as a teen to using my computer sales money to buy websites and tried to make more money with them. That led me to affiliate marketing and learned about buying traffic (google, FB, etc). Did lead gen for colleges and a bunch of other companies. Learned the power of paid marketing. Spent millions on ads. Made millions.

  • Started an ecom company. Slowly grew it to a 50+ person, multi-state business doing tens of millions.

  • Done really well with investing. Invested on the secondary markets a few years ago in companies like doordash, Instacart, and others. Crypto, etc.

I think it’s a God given gift, because I know my “why”
