What’s the worst case of bad parenting you’ve ever witnessed?

My stepsister was a rubella baby.. and born blind, deaf and mute, along with many other physical and cognitive disabilities. She went to a special school during the week, but was home for weekends and holidays. Caring for her was extremely challenging and difficult. Changing her underwear, diapers and bed... Feeding her. Helping her go to the bathroom. She needed someone to do everything for her. I loved her (she passed a few years ago) but I can understand why a parent wouldn't want that commitment. Not everyone is cut out for that and sometimes it's just best for the child to be somewhere they can properly be cared for by people who really want to do it.
