What skills can a poor 19 y/o learn to help make an income and get further in life?

Alright, my advice might not be taken too serious by the older generation here, but try to hear me out.

Research and understand cryptocurrency. Try to get a grasp of the technology, it's rapidly developing and it's going to change society as we know it.

If you read this, you are a potential early adaptor. We are currently in the 1990s in the crypto world if we are to compare it to when computers were first introduced, there will be different cryptocurrencies that rise and fall, pick the right ones and you can make a fortune.

I'm a student myself, with a student loan. I'm currently able, if I want to cash out, to pay all of that, thanks to me doing extensive research and getting in early on a project that so far gave me a 16x ROI so far in 2 months, in the traditional stock market, that's unheard of.

So how do I research?

  1. I browse different ICO website (initial coin offerings), today companies entering the crypto world often offer an ICO to fund their project, that means you get their cryptocurrency at a fixed price. Often if it's a very anticipated ICO, the price of the currency will often do a 2x-10x in a very short amount of time. I use website such as: Icodrops and Icobench to see if there are any interesting projects coming up. If there is, I dig deeper and explore the company social platforms, evaluate the hype and anticipation etc.

  2. I browse crypto subreddits. There are different crypto subreddits where people come together and research and put their thoughts out about different cryptocurrencies, this is in my opinion the best method to go about, since on reddit the information is mostly objective, and people can put in their opinion if they disagree with each other. Study all information objectively. A few subreddits I recommend:

  • /r/Cryptocurrency - this is the main place where everything related to cryptocurrencies are discussed.

  • /r/Icodrops - This is a subreddit that pretty much works like the websited I listed above.

  • /r/CryptoMoonShots - This is a subreddit dedicated to identify potential moonshots at the earliest stage possible, to get in at a great price.

  • /r/Altcoin - pretty much another version of /r/cryptocurrency

I would also like to share a post by Trillinair which you can find here , I DON'T agree with the whole taking up loans though, that's insane. However, I completely agree about his statement that we got a raw deal.

Research research research, put aside some money when you can, and invest into projects you truly believe in.
