This is what I'm dealing with right now. I've always been the peacemaker of the family. I've finally told my brother what a free loading piece of shit manipulator he is. He immediately told my parents about this (we are in our 30s mind you) and when my dad was just like "work it out with your sister don't get us involved" he called my dad an asshole. He then talks to my mom (he was always her favorite) spun the story, and ended with her throwing bananas at my dad. Apparently he provoked him into calling my dad an asshole. Later in the day I get a call from my dad, "I agree with your brother."

I've been trying to rationalize if I should just bite the bullet yet again and let him have his way for my parents to have some piece of mind. But I'm just so tired of doing this.

This all stemmed from me buying a gift for one of his kids, and him thinking it wasn't good enough. I don't have kids of my own so I usually ask him what they might like. Apparently the exact thing he told me wasn't enough. It made absolutely no sense.
