What is something from your childhood that you aren't entirely sure if it actually existed or not?

I don't remember much. I believe it was an adventure game, maybe with some RPG elements. I want to say it had an isometric view, but I'm not sure NES had that capability. So maybe top down?

Probably the most distinct things were the graphics and color palette. If you've ever played Earthbound (or Morher 1 would actually be closer) it was reminiscent of that scheme. A lot of mismatched colors and anthropomorphic creatures. Kind of a fantasy meets reality type setting.

It basically played like the old style arcade games, scroll to the right to continue/load the next screen, beat up the bad guys. Some bizarre story along the way.

I know it doesn't really add up to much, but I just have this distinct image in my mind that I can't entirely put into words. I remember most of the obscure games from that era. I've tried on here and several other forums and failed. Which is why I think it may be mixed or false memories. Yet I still can't shake a few specific images which don't match anything else I've seen.
