The cheating happened to my dads friend a few states away. He was suspicious that she was cheating on him and told the family about it but nobody listened to him. The family turned their backs on him and called him horrible names. They’re older so they use Facebook (and have all the drama there) so his social reputation deteriorated as well. Although he felt like he was seeing the cheating in action he never had the chance to snap a picture or get evidence from it, he couldn’t even believe it himself because it sounded so crazy to accuse her of cheating with the man she was cheating with. He eventually hired private investigators and promised the family that they will regret it when the truth came out.

Two years later the PI had solid evidence of them doing it in the car at a park and inside their garage. Photographs and videos, text messages all that. It didn’t help that she started neglecting their kids as well, she failed to take them to get their shots for school and to even enroll them.

In the end, the friend won the court case and it was revealed that the now ex wife was in fact cheating with her own brother.

My dad went to visit him and the friend was a mess. No matter what the conversation was, the friend would start crying every time he talked. It seemed to have taken him about 6 years to get over the shock. Today (about 3 years later) he owns two businesses, owns two big areas of land, owns a house, bought himself a corvette and regularly works out and gambles for fun. He has talked to a few women for months and has had date nights but he promised himself to never fall in love again
