What is "worldly" wisdom?

"I did my best, so it's not my fault." - Actually, you are responsible for all your actions.

"It's OK because everyone else does it."

"It doesn't hurt anyone." - All our actions affect everyone, because they transform us. Who we are sets and example for everyone and breaks the ice for them to do similar things.

These examples are of just one type (and are off the top of my head). There's a lot of others, some requiring a deeper knowledge of Truth to perceive (e.g., any rebellious attitude toward [almost?] anything, including as rejecting legitimate authorities who are unjust or ungodly in their behavior/rules). You can figure out some yourself by understanding Scripture. Any idea that bends or rejects a spiritual fact, but sounds reasonable, may be "worldly." "What's wrong with it" applies to any situation that seems OK in the media, but is contrary to what God has said is best for us for our words and behaviors.

This is the fate of those who trust in themselves, and of their followers, who approve their sayings. Selah Like sheep they are destined for the grave, and death will feed on them. The upright will rule over them in the morning; their forms will decay in the grave, far from their princely mansions. (Psalms 49:13-14, 1984 NIV)
