Worked at a cafe. A guy came in, asked my for number. Drunk called me to ask me to his work Christmas party, I declined because I was shy. Asked me out again on a date. Met him, and like 6 of his friends. It was more of a group friends hang out, except so only (sort of) knew one of them.

Making small talk, his mate asked me for my number. I politely declined, by saying, "Maybe ask Mark." Friend was embarrassed. Friend groups told me I shouldn't have embarrassed their friend like that.

I said it may have been more rude to have said yes, when I was on a "date" with their friend. They agreed with that.

The one other woman in that friendship, we agreed it was lame and went off elsewhere to have drinks together. One place was offering to do a Jackass challenge if you signed up for free drinks. She taught me you could sign up, get the drink, then stay silent when your name was called.
