What was the worst pain you have ever felt?

Dry sockets from wisdom tooth removal. That was one of those situations where I needed the good drugs. But I was a minor and my mom did not want me taking prescription narcotics and getting addicted. I was basically taking glorified ibuprofen twice a day instead. just a btw, her reasoning was understandable, but I was taught in nursing school that narcotics will not create a physical addiction if you are genuinely in pain/your body is healing and you are taking appropriate doses. It is relatively safe to take them when you actually need it. It’s when people aren’t in as much pain and keep using or abuse the dosage that they get into trouble. Having a nerve exposed to air is excruciating and I could’ve suffered a lot less. The top ones without the sockets didn’t hurt at all past the first day and the bottom ones eventually healed. I now have an extra hatred for the dentist, though.
