What is so wrong about cultural appropriation?

Cultural groups (which are often related to races) do own their cultures.

I don’t think the locks in white cultures looks the same as the ones in Black cultures and were worn with the same context/connotation, so if a white person goes around with “Black” locks, them saying it is also in their culture would get a heavy side eye from me. Especially knowing few white cultures have locs, and most white people who wears locs are not doing so to reminisce of their own culture.

Moreover, locs in Black culture has a deeply spiritual history, so I don’t think they are a good example of what could be worn by everyone as a fashion style without someone rightfully calling out as cultural appropriation and not appreciation.
