What is wrong with me?

If your parents think that financial stability overrides emotional stability then either tell them otherwise or leave them entirely. Your parents should love you for who you are, not what high paying job you won't be able to get either way because you hate doing it. And a job that you don't like isn't a job at all, it's slavery for a paycheck.

There are many others with similar stories, especially Law grads as there are too many people thinking that either it's the easy way into high pay, or they don't know what to pick so they pick a default out of Doctor, Lawyer, or Engineer, only to find a workplace that doesn't employ many and only the top percent, achievers.

You should first get a small time job that isn't computer science, even if it isn't something you like, it isn't something you hate, and then follow your dreams and passions. Everyone has their dream job or what keeps them waking up in the morning. Even I as a 14-year-old kid thought for sure I was either going to be a pro gamer or computer programmer/game designer when I grow up, but now I realize I like art, literature, and music to the ends of the earth and will probably pursue something in the arts later in life.

You missed the decision early on but you are just a young adult, you have decades ahead of you to mold yourself into who you want to be. There are stories of people taking the lowest level jobs and in maybe ten years coming up as the owner. You need to find what you like.
