Revolt against the unknown
The child inside you fully grown
Your imagination has been sewn shut
The man will not let you roam
Stay away from the unseen
Your conscience reminds you to stray off
the path into the forgotten green
But you have reason not to believe
You think you've been deceived
Shut your ears to the unheard
To you it sounds absurd
Society made you close-minded
So you will not listen to voice behind it
Why won't you feel the untouched?
Are you afraid of it being too rough, too tough?
Have you had enough?
Have you lost too much?
Has the thought of it suffocated you?
Refuse to smell the unscented
Even if it reminds you of the heavens
But how would you know
For you gave that hope up long ago
Do not swallow the unflavored
You martyr, you follower, you stranger
Will you not savor the moment?
It's too late, you have blown it.
If you were different from everyone
You'd be shunned, chased, and gunned
It's the adult inside of you that made you like this
So seize him and cast that man into the abyss
Why must the abnormal ones be sent to Hell?
Not even the deepest children can tell
It doesn't matter if he's innocent or if he's belligerent
You say "Who the fuck gives a shit?"
There is no more freedom
There is no more individual in the city
There is no more hope left in your species
Which is why I look down upon you from the stars with pity
For you will never join me up here
Not till I can make it clear
That you are doing things wrong down there
But you don't give a care
To you it's always some other day
You will always do things your own way
Even if it means you must pay
For not listening to what I have to say
This is the story of how man's imagination deteriorated
How it was obliterated
By the society I hated
The same one that I created.
