It depends on the cartoon and who it’s geared towards. I think it’s a positive thing for teenagers and people in puberty. I think it’s negative and confusing for young children. Heteronormative thinking isn’t a bad thing. It’s how reproduction works. In terms of children they aren’t (or shouldn’t) be introduced to sexual concepts before they’re ready. There’s nuance to everything and young children aren’t developed enough to understand more to intimate relationships than mommy and daddy. Showing people being kind to those that are different is a better way to deliver the same concept. Again that’s all regarding children, cartoons for teenagers is a different conversation, and exploring some more advanced concepts is fine. Coming from a straight male that has sucked a dick before.
