Un-ironically my favorite movie of all time is "empirically bad"... or at least terrifically camp--Iron Monkey.

Not the travesty that was the Tarantino/Miramax release, I'm talking about the original Tai Seng dub.

The movie is already "really camp" in the original cantonese, but the Tai Seng dub (which is tragically really hard to find) both "sounds terrific" (much better than the Miramax even) AND has all of the charm and engrish of early Golden Harvest productions. It also doesn't get butchered of like 13 fucking minutes like the Miramax version, or have the dialogue changed to completely misrepresent a few of the characters.

11/10 movie that is made strictly better by the "horrible dub". It's literally not the same movie when you take that charm away.
