I’m pretty active and, therefore, pretty muscular. The most common reaction to them initially meeting me is to grab my arm muscles and squeeze them and say “daaaaaamn”. Not a hello. Not a single world. I don’t know them. They don’t ask. Just a grab. And then they get upset when I pull my arms away in shock. “Girl, you got some arms on you! I’m just complimenting you!” Some even go for a second grab. Some get mean and offended that I don’t want their attention. And some do realize that grabbing someone without knowing them is NOT okay in any fashion, and they apologize.

It’s like personal space doesn’t exist because it’s a “compliment”.
